EO creating community-based monitoring system signed

DAVAO City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio signed an executive order (EO) organizing the membership of community-based monitoring system (CBMS) steering committee and defining its functions.

The order was issued last August 17, 2017 after it was signed by Duterte-Carpio on August 16.

According to Section 1 of the order, the team CBMS Monitoring System and Steering Committee shall be composed of the mayor as the chair.

The members of the committee will be City Social Services and Development Office, City Health Officer, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Public Employment Service Office, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, Liga ng mga Barangay President, City Council Indigenous People's Mandatory Representative, City Planning and Development Office (CPDO).

The main function of the committee is to collaborate with concerned agencies to accomplish the primary purpose of the CBMS that is to establish a monitoring tool for poverty diagnosis and Sustainable Development Goals monitoring, for a more data based or evidence based planning and programming. Section 3 mandated the creation of the Technical Working Group which will be headed by the CPDO.
