Espinosa: Cebu bizman Peter Lim was Jaguar's drug supplier

SUSPECTED drug lord Roland "Kerwin" Espinosa told senators during the hearing on the killing of his father, Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr., that Cebu City businessman Peter Lim was one of the drug suppliers to slain drug lord Jeffrey "Jaguar" Diaz.

Espinosa, who once worked with Diaz in their illegal drugs operations in Central Visayas, said it is the same Peter Lim who submitted himself to President Rodrigo Duterte in July this year.

Espinosa said Diaz mentioned to him before that his supplier, Peter Lim, owns Hilton Motors Corporation, a heavy equipment dealer in Cebu City.

To recall, a certain "Peter Lim" was named by Duterte as among those involved in the illegal drug business.

The 71-year-old Cebu businessman has denied allegations that he was one of the drug lords operating under the protection of a top police official.

The Cebu businessman's lawyer, Dioscoro Fuentes Jr., said last July that he is confident that his client was not the person Duterte meant.

Fuentes said that his client "runs legitimate businesses, not drug-related businesses. This is why he is confident that he is not the Peter Lim that the President mentioned. Maybe the other Peter Lim is out there."

Fuentes said that “the good Lim” is a legitimate businessman who has business interests in Hilton Motors Corporation, the heavy equipment dealer Tiger Motors, entertainment outfit Kash International (K-1) KTV, and housing developer LimBros Development Corp., among others. (Sunnex)
