Family of 3 hurt in road accident

A COUPLE and their daughter were injured after their car hit a crane truck at Hacienda Bariw, Barangay Sta. Teresa in Manapla, Negros Occidental, around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, February 25.

Chief Inspector Edencio Gregorio, chief of Manapla Municipal Police Station, identified the victims as Noli Orcina, wife Catherine, and daughter Joy.

Investigation showed the family were on their way to Cadiz City when their vehicle hit the rear of the truck parked beside the road due to mechanical problem.

The victims sustained minor injuries and were brought to a private hospital in Bacolod City.

The crane truck, driven by Alan Agiong, is owned by Mariano Sy.

Agiong is detained at the Manapla police station. (GYM)
