Fire razes warehouse

A WAREHOUSE at Liroville, Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City was gutted by a fire around 12:55 a.m. Tuesday.

Fire Inspector Jovelyn Zamar of the Bacolod Bureau of Fire Protection said the warehouse of Mosser Environment Corporation owned by Annabele Mosser was razed by a fire that started at the stockpile of assorted books located at the southern portion of the warehouse.

She said the fire caused damage to property worth almost P300,000. No casualty was recorded.

Although the cause of fire is still undetermined, Zamar said the fire could have been triggered by improper disposal of cigarette as there were cigarette butts recovered from the fire scene.

She said they received information that rugby boys use the old building as their rendezvous.

There was no more electricity at the warehouse as it has been abandoned for at least two months now.
