Fisherman stabbed to death in Bantayan, Cebu

A FISHERMAN was allegedly stabbed to death by his nephew and live-in partner of his sister last Tuesday, October 31, in Barangay Hilantagaan, Santa Fe, Bantayan, Cebu.

Police identified the fatality as Pepito Anciano Caraballe, who succumbed to at least 12 stab wounds.

Suspects Kevin Caraballe Escarda, 22, and his father Ulysses Santillan Escarda, 42, were arrested.

Investigation showed Caraballe got mad at Kevin after the latter punched his son for no apparent reason.

He confronted Kevin and asked for Ulysses to face him. Ulysses and Caraballe argued, then the former left.

The suspects later attacked the victim. (KAL)
