Low pressure area spotted (9:02 a.m.)

ANOTHER developing weather disturbance was spotted at the eastern part of the country.

According to the Typhoon2000, a low pressure area (LPA) was last detected at 1,275 kilometers east of Mindanao.

It has maximum sustained winds of 39 kilometers per hour.

The LPA has a 40 percent chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 24 to 48 hours.

It will be named Florita if it intensifies into a cyclone.

Earlier, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration said the country will have to brace at least four storms this month where two storms already entered that include Domeng and Ester. (Sunnex)
