Metropolis: Birthdays and a christening

Xavier Carreon

CELEBRATING his very special day with pizza, games and face painting, Miles Dixon (son of James and Tasha), all dressed in blue and green as Leonardo (his favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle), had such a fun day as he turned five years old! Together with both family and friends, the venue was at the family owned UNOs in Mandaue City.

Happy fifth birthday, Miles!

Up, up and away! Guests flew over to celebrate Kael Coscolluela’s (son of Gil and Christine) third birthday held at McDonald’s at Ayala Center Cebu. This airplane-themed birthday party couldn’t have been made more complete with the presence of close friends and family members. An added touch was a personalized cake with matching cupcakes created by Trina Kokseng of Cake Couture. The cake, all covered in blue icing topped with planes, was cut. And Kael was happily surprised to see the cake all pink inside, his favorite color! What a cutie! Happy third birthday, Kael!

Celebrating the christening of Cwene Aaleyah Gothong (the youngest child of three and only daughter of Benjo and Lalie) took place that one morning at the St. Francis Xavier Chapel of the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Cebu City. The service, officiated by Msgr. Agustin Ancajas P.A. (Msgr. Ting as he is fondly called), was made complete with her 14 godparents namely Benedict Sun, Christian Bacus, Clyd Benjamin Yu, Dulcebelle Sia, Ivy Honeylou Mendero, Jose Ramon Ernesto Miranda, Kristalle Kekert, Marilie Yu, Maripink Pardillo, Raquel Kaye Klepp, Raymund Alba, Ryan Benjamin Yu, Susan Lao and Teddy Gan.

Lunch followed soon after at the Alpa City Suites Hotel in Mandaue City where an intimate and very meaningful reception was given to this little angel Cwene. The sweet buffet was presented beautifully by Got Cake and the savory buffet was a huge spread personalized by the hotel itself. Cwene’s brothers, Chase and Clase, couldn’t have been more proud of their little sibling who was now presented to the Christian world! Congratulations, Cwene Aaleyah!
