THE National Housing Authority (NHA) in coordination with the Zamboanga City Government is set to turnover on Monday, May 22, 566 houses in stilts to families displaced by the 2013 siege incident.

NHA District Manager Al-Khwarizmi Indanan said the houses in stilts were constructed in Valle Vista II in the village of Kasanyangan.

Indanan said the turnover ceremony will be held at 8 a.m. at the Centro Latino Convention Hall of the Paseo del Mar.

The turnover of the houses on stilts will fully complete the Valle Vista housing package under the Zamboanga City Roadmap to Recovery and Reconstruction (Z3R).

Indanan said the Valle Vista Phase II-house on stilts project spans a total of 77,669 square meters with 794 housing units built and a total project cost of P179.282 million.

He said the construction of the houses on stilts was undertaken by a private construction firm with supervision from the NHA. (SunStar Philippines)
