MANILA -- Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao who will likely face Antonio Margarito of Mexico in his next bout is considering training inside the Batasan Complex where his office as Sarangani congressman is located.

Pacquiao usually includes a one-hour jog in his everyday training to prepare for his boxing matches.

The boxing icon sees no problem in attending House committee hearings that are usually scheduled in the morning as a conflict to his training, saying he would just need to manage his time properly.

“The compound is huge anyway...I can sleep here in the office so that I can jog before the session or the hearings,” Pacquiao said.

Earlier this week, Representatives Dato Arroyo (second district, Camarines Sur) and JV Ejercito (lone district, San Juan) played basketball with Pacquiao at the House of Representatives gymnasium after engaging in a word war in the session hall. (Kathrina Alvarez/Sunnex)
