CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- A businessman was gunned down by motorcycle riding criminals (MRCs) along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Mayapyap Sur, Cabanatuan City recently.

Police identified the victim as Alfredo Dupitas, 53, a resident of Valle, Talavera, Nueva Ecija.

Police said the victim was on board his Nissan Frontier pick-up truck (JUK-333) and was en route to Cabanatuan City from Talavera town when unidentified gunmen riding on board a motorcycle successively fired at him.

Due to severe gunshot wounds in the head, the victim died while undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital, the report said. (Ric Sapnu)
