CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The daughter of Philhealth president and chief executive officer Rey B. Aquino and Doctor Edna S. Aquino passed the Physician Licensure Examination last month.
Eloisa Rei Soliman Aquino, Aquino’s eldest daughter, graduated from the University of Sto. Tomas.
She is also an alumna of St. Scholastica’s Academy in this city where she was a top student.
The father himself is a doctor and had been practicing as a surgeon before he entered politics nearly twenty years ago.
He is a former one-term vice mayor and three-term mayor of San Fernando, and one-term congressman of Pampanga’s third district before he was appointed as Philhealth chief by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Aquino’s wife is an obstetrician-gynecologist while his brother-in-law, Eloisa’s uncle on her mother side, is also a doctor.
Eloisa is the eldest among the Aquino’s five children --Ela, Em, Nice, and Red.
