THE United Nations is now accepting nominations for the 2017 United National Public Service Awards (UNPSA).

Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ismael Sueno said the UNPSA promotes and rewards innovation and excellence in public service in support of the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the principle of leaving no one behind which form the core of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The nominations are in three categories: reaching the poorest and most vulnerable through inclusive services and participation; promoting transparency, accountability and integrity in public service; and innovation and excellence in delivering health services as one of the SDGs.

Nominations must be completed online through the UNPSA portal at https://publicadministration .un.org/en/UNPSA on or before Feb. 28.

Winners will be awarded during the UN Public Service Forum in the Netherlands on June 23 as part of the UN Public Service Day.
