POLICE Supt. Wildemar Tiu recently passed the National Police Commission’s (Napolcom) Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) examination.

PESE eligibility is a requirement for promotion to the third-level rank of police senior superintendent, chief superintendent, police director, deputy director general and director general.

The examination has two phases—written stage and panel interview.

Tiu was among the 259 from the 286 officers who passed the validation interview, which was the final phase of the PESE process.

He is presently assigned in Camp Crame, the Philippine National Police’s headquarters.

Tiu came from Police Regional Office (PRO) in Central Visayas before his transfer. Then with a rank of chief inspector, he headed the Cebu City Police Office Station 4, which is based in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

After graduating from the Philippine National Police Academy in 2003, Tiu was first assigned at the Special Action Force, an elite police unit.

In 2011, he was transferred to PRO 7 in Central Visayas where he served for nearly five years, and earned awards and medals.
