Trike driver, couple hurt in road mishap

A TRICYCLE driver and his two passengers were injured after they smashed onto the truck of theBureau of Fire Protection (BFP) that was parked in front of their office at Hernaez Street, Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police identified the victims as Edwin Fulo, 38, Eduardo Quiroben, 65, and his wife Margin, 67, all residents of Barangay Taculing.

Police Officer 2 Adam Vasquez, traffic investigator of Police Station 6, said Wednesday at about 10:30 p.m., Fulo was driving his Bajaj tricycle with his two passengers from Libertad towards Barangay Taculing.

Upon reaching Hernaez Street, Fulo lost control of his tricycle and hit the early warning device that is made of steel and bumped into the BFP truck, Vasquez said.

He said Fulo and the couple sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center.

Investigation showed that Fulo was under the influence of intoxicating liquor and was over speeding. Vasquez said the victims are still confined at the hospital.(MAP)
