UP Min footfest Lady Knights-Ateneo bags title

THE Lady Knights Football Club (FC) of the Ateneo de Davao University bagged the 13th University of the Philippines (UP) Mindanano Footfest title at the UP Min grounds over the weekend.

Host UP Min settled for the runner-up honors while Faith Academy placed third in the meet organized as part of the month-long UP Min founding celebration.

Lady Knights Selena Simone Jaldon and Jamie Concepcion romped away with the most valuable player (MVP) and best goalkeeper awards, respectively.

Maan Cadayona, Erika Turtur, Natasha Doromal, Anna Santos, Kim Maligad, Shannen Gapate, Bea del Fiero, Mally Ang and Gabby del Fiero also bannered the Lady Knights coached by Noel Presto and Merlo Albano.

The promising player awards were given to Del Fiero, Catalunan Grande's Rian Paguirigan, Ester Megumi Vilela and Nina Ricci Yanto and Holy Child's Klean Paguirigan. (MLSA)
