Wanted person nabbed, 583 undergo profiling

A WANTED personality was arrested while 583 individuals were invited for profiling during a Joint Anti-Criminality and Terrorism Operation Plan on Thursday morning, October 5, in different barangays in Davao City.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Police Senior Inspector Ma. Teresita Gaspan said joint operatives from Davao-based law enforcement agencies conducted simultaneous operations that resulted to over 500 personalities invited for verification around 6 a.m., Thursday.

Barangays that were visited were Barrio Patay (Barpa), Agdao; Purok 1, Barangay 40-D (Bolton Bridge); Sitio Balabag, Ulas, Barangay Talomo; and Purok 12, Barangay Communal in Davao City.

The invited personalities underwent bio-profiling to determine if they are members of terrorist groups.

Of the 583 personalities, 452 of them have identification cards (IDs) while the 131 don't have IDs.

Authorities also arrested one Jun Mark Balorio Maabong, a wanted personality, for Acts of Lasciviousness and other sexual abuse crimes filed at Regional Trial Court Branch 33 with criminal case number 82,063-2015 and 82,064-2015.

The joint operation, which ended at 8:30 a.m., was spearheaded by DCPO together with Task Force Davao, Regional Public Safety Battalion, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police Maritime Group, and Aviation Security Unit.
