CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro), together with Mother Earth Foundation, held a youth environment camp at Pampanga High School last Friday and Saturday.

The Youth Environment Camp aims to make the youth aware of environment issues and possible contributions to improve and rehabilitate natural resources.

Cenro records officer Regina Rodriguez said participants of the camp were the Youth for Environment in Schools' Organization or YES-O of 20 high schools in the city.

"We're going to provide skills and management trainings about the rehabilitation and proper way of taking care of the environment," said Rodriguez.

She added that they targeted the youth, who could be defenders of the environment.

Rodriguez said they urged representative of schools to implement their own advocacies for the environment.

Each of the representatives was given time to share insights about environmental preservation.

The Environment Youth Camp was the last activity of the Cenro in line with its celebration of the National Environment Month.
