Zambo police rescue trafficking victim from Mandaluyong

THE authorities have rescued a human trafficking victim in a west coast village of Zamboanga City, the police reported.

Zamboanga Peninsula Police Regional Office (PRO) information officer Dahlan Samuddin withheld the identity of the rescued victim except in saying she is 28-years-old and from Mandaluyong City.

Samuddin said the victim was rescued around 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the village of San Jose Gusu.

Samuddin said the recruiters identified only as a certain Mae and Hadji managed to elude arrest.

The rescued victim was placed under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. (Sunnex)
