Over 50,000 entrepreneurs get assistance from Negosyo Centers

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- True to its mission of providing assistance to entrepreneurs, more than 50,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have been accommodated by Negosyo Centers region wide in 2017.

Department of Trade and Industry-Central Luzon Director Judith Angeles said a total 55,669 MSMEs successfully expanded their businesses with the help of Negosyo Centers.

She noted that Negosyo Centers in Nueva Ecija had the most number of assisted clients with 14,821 clients served, while 12,660 clients were served by Negosyo Centers in Bulacan.

Bataan Negosyo Centers, likewise, were able to serve 8,904 clients, while Pampanga had 8,214 and Tarlac had 5,573, while Negosyo Centers in Zambales and Aurora also took their share in providing assistance with 2,855 and 2,642 served clients, respectively.

Meanwhile, among all Negosyo Centers established in the country, Angeles said that the Negosyo Center in Cabanatuan City is ranked eight nationwide with 9,568 MSMEs assisted in 2017.
