ANGELES CITY -- The City Government has apprehended more than 100 individuals who violated Covid-19 safety regulations, Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr, said.

The violators were issued citation tickets as mandated under the guidelines of the Department of Health and the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), according to Lazatin.

"Alinsunod sa Department of Health (DOH) at Inter Agency Task Force, agaran natin silang tineketan at pinagmulta ng P1,000 [each].

The local government has also intensified its campaign to educate the people in its fight against the virus, Lazatin said.

Social gatherings are still prohibited, according to Lazatin.

The City Government enforces curfew for all residents from 11 p.m. to 5: a.m. daily, the mayor said.

Lazatin said the number of Covid-19 cases in the city had climbed to 91, as of Thursday.

Of the 91 cases, the mayor said 49 are active cases.

Over the past three days, three new cases were reported by the local health office.
