Sunnexdesk

ABOUT 212 residents of Subic, Zambales have so far benefitted from the free chest X-ray of the United States Agency for International Development’s TB Platforms Project (USAid TB Platforms).

Subic is the first local government in Central Luzon to integrate Covid-19 vaccination and TB screening activities.

Subic Municipal Health Officer Nadj Ngilay encouraged community members to avail themselves of the free chest X-ray and report if any member of the household is experiencing symptoms of TB for proper diagnosis and treatment amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The free chest X-ray continues for the entire month of June with the municipal government aiming at at least 200 beneficiaries per day.

Ngilay noted that this program must be practiced by other municipalities and cities in the region. (PR)
