ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. has asked barangay leaders to serve as role models to their respective constituents.

The mayor issued the statement as he directed the village officials to enforce government regulations to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

He cited the increasing number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in the city.

Lazatin mentioned the measures to prevent the spread of the virus, including the ban of gathering like birthday parties, wearing of face mask and shields and social distancing, among others.

Lazatin also directed restaurant managements to stop accepting events like parties and other social gatherings inside their respective establishments.

The City Government recorded 154 Covid-19 cases, with nine deaths and 62 recovered patients as of August 16, 2020.
