Angeles LGU distributes emergency kits

THE local government unit (LGU) has distributed emergency kits to residents of Barangay Sapangbato in line with the observance of the Disaster Resilience Month.

Rudy Simeon, head of the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO), led the distribution of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Trauma Bag Tuesday, July 27.

He was joined by ACDRRMO personnel, City Councilors Marino Bañola, Raco Del Rosario and JC Aguas.

Simeon said the City Government will also distribute EMS Trauma Bags to the other 32 barangays.

With the theme “Maging Listo, Laging Handa sa Panahon ng Sakuna,” Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said the awarding of EMS Trauma Bags to the 33 barangays of the city is aimed to encourage residents to prioritize disaster prevention and preparedness.

Inside the EMS Trauma Bag are gauze pads, cotton balls, alcohol swab, iodine swab stick, micropore tape, leucoplast, elastic bandage, tweezers, hot packs, cold packs, sam splint, trauma scissors, set of oropharyngeal airway, bag valve mask, stethoscopes, pulse oximeter, thermal blanket, BP apparatus set, and thermometer.
