THE most wanted drug personality of Bacolor town was arrested during an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Cabalantian on Saturday, December 8.

Chief Inspector Jan Carl Gopez, this town’s chief of police, identified the suspect as Enrique Maneses, 56, a resident of Barangay San Isidro here.

Gopez said Maneses was an alleged notorious illegal drug pusher, also has huge involvement in the proliferation of illegal drugs in the area which placed him on the top spot in the list of most wanted drug personalities in this town.

He said that Maneses was already arrested for same illegal drug charges in the City of San Fernando two years ago, but was able to get out and continue his illegal activities.

During the drug bust launched by the town police’s drug enforcement unit, Gopez said that Maneses positively sold a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) to an undercover police agent which immediately led to his arrest.

Maneses’ cohort identified as Resty Sapnu, 39, a resident of Barangay Sto. Niño in the City of San Fernando, was also arrested during the operation.

Confiscated from the suspects’ possession were four more sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money used in the operation, and a cellphone which Maneses used for his illegal drug transactions.

The duo is currently detained at this town’s station detention facility as they both face charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
