BALANGA CITY -- President Rodrigo Duterte’s “Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa” program is expected to further boost employment in Bataan, according to 2nd District Representative Jose Enrique Garcia III.

The lawmaker underscored that locators will benefit the most from the program as it eyes to increase work force supply in the provinces.

“With the program, I think it will increase the manpower or laborers here in Bataan, and it will help our locators as they can provide employment especially for those who don’t have decent jobs in Manila,” Garcia explained Friday, May 8, during a virtual press conference with local media.

He added that it will resolve issues of locators who were forced to hire workers outside Central Luzon, even outsourcing in the Visayas regions, due to insufficient labor force in the province.

With more than 40,000 workers in the Freeport of Bataan alone, Garcia projected that locators can generate more employment for Bataeños.

“I think this will be another way for our locators to expand, especially in FAB, because we will have enough supply of manpower for them,” Garcia added. (PIA-Central Luzon)
