Businessman shot, wounded by motor riders

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Two men riding on a motorcycle shot and wounded a businessman in a holdup in Barangay San Pablo, Sta. Ana, Pampanga, Monday, February 19.

Authorities said Norway Santos of Barangay Sta. Lucia, Magalang town was on his way to pick-up and buy fish (tilapia) at a fishpond when held up by the suspects.

Police said the victim tried to maneuver his vehicle but one of the suspects grabbed the victims’ shoulder and at gun point declared a hold-up and forcibly took away the victim’s wallet containing P16,000.

Before fleeing, one of the suspects shot the victim hitting the latter on his left face exiting at the right lower part of his cheek bone.

Witnesses brought the victim to the Balitucan District Hospital, Magalang town but was later transferred to Jose B. Lingad Regional Memorial Hospital in the City of San Fernando for further medical treatment. (Ric Sapnu)
