Central Luzon coronavirus cases now at 29,553

CORONAVIRUS cases in Central Luzon may soon break the 30,000-mark as more cases have been recorded this week, bringing the total number of recorded cases since the start of the pandemic in the region to 29,553.

Latest bulletins from the Department of Health (DOH) in the region show that of the total number of confirmed cases, some 83.9 percent or 24,799 have already recovered, while some 12.5 percent or 3,698 were still active cases.

The DOH said at least 16 patients were in critical condition, while 65 were showing severe symptoms. Some 55 cases displayed moderate symptoms, while 1,972 were mild and 1,590 were asymptomatic.

Some 3.6 percent of the total number of confirmed cases or 1,056 have since died from the virus.
