Central Luzon Covid-19 cases breach 1,000 mark

THE total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Central Luzon has breached the 1,000 mark, as the Department of Health (DOH) reported Monday, July 6, additional cases that brought the total county to 1,021.

Cases are expected to shoot up as more cases are registered in the local government units of various provinces in the region.

Bulacan leads with the most number of cases at 449, followed by Bataan with 212 and Pampanga with 144. Nueva Ecija has 76 cases.

Tarlac and Zambales have the fewest number of cases at 44 and 47, respectively. Aurora province remains coronavirus free as of Monday, July 6.

Of the total number of cases in Central Luzon, 131 are still admitted, while 214 have been discharged and undergoing 14-day quarantine.

DOH placed the number of recoveries at 601. At least 75 people have died because of the disease.
