Central Luzon Covid-19 deaths now at 3,442

THE number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) deaths in Central Luzon has now reached a total of 3,442 since the start of the pandemic, according to latest reports from the Department of Health (DOH).

This, as the total number of confirmed cases has also reached 140,575 cases from all seven provinces of the region. For July 27 alone, 722 new cases have been recorded in the region.

This brought the total number of active cases to 5,893. Of the confirmed cases, 131,240 have already recovered.

At least 7,241 new cases have been recorded in the region for the last 14 days.

Bulacan alone registered 2,341 new cases in the last 14 days, along with Pampanga, which logged 1,514 new infections.

Of the 35,104 hospital beds in 1,293 health facilities in the region, 16,941 beds are currently occupied, representing 48.3 percent occupancy.
