THE City of San Fernando’s agriculture and veterinary office conducted free anti-rabies vaccination for dogs on Wednesday, February 21, at Aurora Heights Subdivision in Barangay San Agustin.

Residents availed themselves of the free anti-rabies shots for their pets.

The City Agriculture and veterinary Office (Cavo) also discussed preventive ways for rabies prevention like proper care, treatment and handling of their pets.

The activity is being conducted all year round in the different barangays of the City of San Fernando in a bid to attain a rabies-free city.

Mayor Edwin Santiago said responsible pet ownership is important to safeguard both pet owners and other people who can be affected of rabies.

For further inquiries on the schedules and procedures of rabies vaccination, contact Cavo at (045) 435–5729, or visit them at the old Department of Foreign Affairs, near Salilungan.
