COA cites CDC Covid-19 efforts

THE Clark Development Corporation (CDC) was recently recognized by the Commission on Audit (COA) for its various efforts and initiatives to mitigate and fight the coronavirus disease 2021 (Covid-19) pandemic.

During the first flag-raising ceremony of the state-owned firm for 2021, CDC president and chief executive officer Manuel Gaerlan shared that COA has commended the strategic measures initiated by the CDC-Covid-19 team.

During the recognition, Gaerlan congratulated and encouraged the employees to continuously provide quality services to all stakeholders even when faced with unprecedented challenges.

“Congratulations to all our honorees and awardees. Marami sa atin ang nagtulong tulong at nag-contribute nitong pandemic but the team of Dra. Dobles (referring to Health and Sanitation Division (HSD) led by Dr. Clemencita Dobles), they were even commended by the Commission On Audit for a job well done,” he said.

On its recent audit observation, COA cited CDC’s numerous Covid-response programs which include the establishment of Covid-19 facilities, and the adaption of significant Covid-19 protocols that were benchmarked and emulated by other areas in the country.

These and all the other notable projects of CDC became beneficial not only for this Freeport but also for its adjacent provinces and communities.

Gaerlan also led the awarding of certificates of commendation to different CDC groups for their contribution to the successful implementation of Covid-19 prevention measures and activities.

For her part, CDC vice president for Administration and Finance Engineer Mariza Mandocdoc acknowledged the CDC departments, executives, and officers who have taken the lead in fighting the pandemic.

Mandocdoc cited Dobles as one of the lead recipients of the said award.

Dobles along with the CDC–Covid-19 team was recognized for their commitment and dedication in successfully conducting the numerous activities that contributed to the prevention and containment of Covid-19.

Offices and divisions such as the Corporate Social Responsibility and Placement Division, Public Safety Division, Purchasing Division, Health and Sanitation Division, Accounting Division, Treasury Division, Information Technology Department, Property Management Division, Human Resources Division, Communications Division, Engineering Services Group, Assets Management Division and Transportation Section were also acknowledged.
