DA hosts training on cassava food processing in Zambales

THE Department of Agriculture (DA)-Central Luzon conducted training on cassava food processing recently in a bid to capacitate local farmers in value-added business processing to augment their income.

The training was held in San Antonio, Zambales. The training was under the Corn Banner Program of the DA-Central Luzon, in collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office, which conducted the Cassava Food Processing Training held in San Antonio, Zambales on March 16.

The purpose of the training is to provide additional knowledge and help farmers' families find alternative ways of earning a living.

As a celebration of women's month, among the participants were women and young farmers and fishermen of Barangay San Miguel.
