DOH suggests safe Christmas gifts for kids

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Department of Health (DOH) issued suggestions of Christmas gifts that are suitable for children.

For babies aged zero to one year old, the agency said safe gifts include rattles, large brightly colored balls, unbreakable mirrors, washable stuffed dolls or animals with clearly outlined faces.

Toddlers aged 2 to 3 years old may be gifted with wooden animals, dolls, sturdy kiddie cars, modeling clay, and rocking horses.

For preschoolers aged 4 to 5 years old, puppets, push toys, building blocks, balls and kites are among the recommended gift items.

DOH said safe and wise buying of gifts is the best way to celebrate the holiday season.
