A SUSPECTED drug pusher was killed when he tried to engage in a shootout with police operatives in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City on Monday, January 28.

Senior Superintendent Jean Fajardo, acting provincial police director of Pampanga police, identified the fatality as Andrei Amurao of Dau, Mabalacat City.

Fajardo said the suspect, when he sensed that he was dealing with policemen, ran inside his house and fired towards the lawmen.

This prompted the operatives to retaliate, killing the victim, she said.

Fajardo said recovered from the crime scene were a caliber .38 revolver loaded with two ammunitions and three spent shells, seven caliber 9mm spent shells, 19 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, digital weighing scale, seven disposable lighters, cellular phone, illegal drugs paraphernalia and the P1,000 marked money.

The suspect is in the drug watchlist in Mabalacat City, she said. (Ric Sapnu)
