THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conferred its “Suking Tindahan” seal to Calulut Convenience Store, becoming the first recipient in Pampanga.

“We are awarding the Suking Tindahan Seal to major sari-sari stores selling at least 50 percent of basic commodities and 50 percent of prime commodities under our jurisdiction,” DTI officer-in-charge Provincial Director Elenita R. Ordonio said.

The price of the basic and prime commodities being monitored by DTI must be within or lower the Suggested Retail Prices in order to qualify.

“They must also protect the welfare of consumers and comply with Fair Trade Laws,” Ordonio added. (PR)
