BALANGA CITY -- About 50 graduates of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) courses in Bataan attended a “Starting a Business Seminar” conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Attendees were completers of courses on shielded metal arc welding and electrical installation and maintenance.

“The seminar is under the Skills Training for Employment/Entrepreneurship Program which aims to equip participants with the knowledge in effectively running their own business in the future,” DTI Provincial Director Nelin Cabahug said.

“We hope that with their acquired skills from TESDA, they can apply it to establish their own business to create more job opportunities,” Cabahug added.

DTI is also looking forward to hold a similar activity intended for graduates under baking/pastry production, cookery and other food related courses. (PIA-Central Luzon)
