Fire breaks out in mall

A FIRE broke out inside a barbecue fast food chain shortly after the Ayala Marquee Mall’s opening Tuesday, June 25 in Angeles City.

No one was reportedly hurt during the fire which started at 10:15 a.m. and lasted for 20 minutes inside the Mang Inasal store at the mall’s Metro Supermarket.

The mall administration stated that it immediately assisted customers and mall employees to evacuate from the affected area.

At 10:30 a.m., the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) declared the fire under control and official fire out at 10:35 a.m., the mall added.

The mall admin then allowed customers and mall employees to enter the shopping center.

“Fortunately, no injury was reported during the incident,” the mall stated.

“Rest assured that MarQuee Mall is not affected and the safety of our shoppers is our utmost concern as we resume normal mall operations,” it added.

The BFP is conducting a follow up investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
