CITY of San Fernando Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin has formally filed his certificate of candidacy for the mayoralty post of the city on Thursday, October 7, 2021, stressing the need to support the economy of the city amid the ongoing pandemic.

Lazatin is in a mayoral race in this Pampanga capital in a three-way fight, but was quick to highlight that his team would only focus on striving to make people understand their platform agenda.

Lazatin is running under the Aksyon Demokratiko, hoping to replace Mayor Edwin Santiago who is on his third and final term.

His runningmate is former councilor Noel Tulabut.

In the slate for Lugud Fernandino councilors are John Susi, Reggie David, Taro Hizon, Alice Dumlao, Tina Lagman and Angel Wijangco.

Lazatin said San Fernando's sectors need all the necessary support to cushion the effects of the pandemic.

Highlighting the need to unite all sectors of the city, Lazatin said a focused development on key areas will help Fernandinos hurdle the effects of the pandemic.

"I am asking Fernandinos to unite with a governance that will bring unity and development further to the most vulnerable sectors of San Fernando," Lazatin said.
