Late case brings Covid-19 deaths in Pampanga to 13

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Coronavirus-related deaths in Pampanga have now reached 13 after a late case, who died in April, have been confirmed positive in a test result released this June.

The patient, who was identified as from Guagua town, underwent swab testing on April 22 but died soon after. The confirmatory test was announced on June 11 with the Pampanga Information Office officially announcing the late case as additional mortality.

Pampanga health officials are currently looking at the people who were in contact with the patient even while the said patient had died a month and half ago.

At present, Pampanga coronavirus positive cases have reached 108. The Provincial Health Office said that some 87 patients have already recovered from the virus, while eight patients are still pending.

The province has yet to release info on the current number of suspected cases as well as possible coronavirus deaths.

As of two weeks ago, Pampanga's suspected cases for coronavirus have been more than 1, 000 patients though several have tested negative.
