Leukemia patients get P3,000 cash assistance

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —Some 115 patients suffering from leukemia were given financial assistance by the provincial government of Pampanga.

The distribution of aid was made during a simple turnover event on Monday at the New Legislative Building inside the Capitol Compound.

Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda personally handed the P3,000 assistance to each of the patients who were accompanied by their families.

The beneficiaries were also given food packs from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.

Pineda also addressed the other needs of the patients.

The vice governor highlighted the "Alagang Nay Preventive Healthcare Program" developed by Governor Dennis 'Delta' Pineda which aims to reduce the number of people who develop cancer like Leukemia and other chronic diseases.
