Mabalacat City records 15 new Covid-19 cases

THE Mabalacat City Government has recorded 15 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) as of October 26, 2020.

The City Health Office (CHO) said that four of the patients are household contacts, four were exposed in workplace and seven have unknown history of exposure.

Four of the 15 cases are in Barangay Paralayunan, three in Dau, two in Mabiga, two in Marcos VIllage, one in Bundagul, one in Dapdap, one in San Francisco and one in Sapang Biabas.

The local government, under the directive of Mayor Cris Garbo, has conducted contact tracing and scheduled a swab testing for all the patients' close contacts.

The patients and close contacts were placed under 14-day quarantine, the local government assured.

Sanitizing of affected areas was also set to prevent the spread of the virus.

The CHO has recorded a total of 503 Covid-19 cases with 341 recoveries and one fatality as of October 26.

"Currently, there are 161 active cases, 341 recoveries, and one death for a total of 503 cases," the local health office said.

The City Government appealed to the residents to support its fight against Covid-19.
