According to the local government’s official statement, the patient codenamed MC#3 is a 70-year-old female from Barangay Sta. Rita here -- the same barangay where MC#1 resides.

Based on the timeline released by the local government, the patient was allegedly exposed to a confirmed Covid-19 patient on March 11.

She was admitted in Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Hospital in Guagua town -- the province’s designated facility for suspected Covid-19 cases -- 17 days after to closely-monitor her condition, especially that she reported a co-morbid condition.

On April 8, she was transferred to Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH) swab testing, treatment and management and a week after, patient’s test came out positive.

The patient, who remained asymptomatic, has since been confined in isolation at JBLMGH while awaiting the results of second swab testing.

MC#3 is the first case of community transmission recorded by this municipality since Covid-19 came in the country in January.
