Magalang folks asked to report fake news

MAGALANG -- The local government asked its constituents to report fake news which is prohibited by law.

Official information regarding the situation and activities of the locality are posted on the Municipality of Magalang Facebook, the municipal government stressed.

"Tanging ang Facebook page lamang na ito (Municipality of Magalang) and awtorisadong magbigay ng ulat na galing sa Magalang local government unit," it said.

Fake news maybe reported to the magalang.pio@gmail.com for proper action. "Kung kayo ay nakatanggap ng maling balita o impormasyon, ipadala ang screenshot o larawan sa magalang.pio@gmail.com upang ito ay maaksyunan."

The LGU clarified that the town's fourth Covid-19 patient, a female medical worker in nearby Mabalaat City residing in Barangay San Miguel of this town, is still confined at the Diosdado Macapagal Medical Center.

His relatives were also taken to the said medical center for quarantine, the local government stated.

"Kasalukuyan pa ring naka-isolate sa Diosdado Macapagal Medical Center ang pamilya ni Patient M4 habang hinihintay ang swab test results ng mga ito. Ang ibang kaanak na walang close contact kay Patient M4 ay naka strict quarantine na din," it added.

At present, the LGU disclosed that the town has 29 persons under monitoring and one suspected case.
