THE new mayor of Magalang town, Pampanga has vowed to establish a government that listens to the people.

Mayor Maria Lourdes “Malu” Lacson made the promise during her inaugural speech at the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) on June 30.

“Our decisions will be based on the will of the people,” she said.

Lacson also vowed to work on the improvement of services to the people.

“Every Magaleno deserves to have a leader who shall be a model by heart, by spirit and by deed,” Lacson said.

“In the next three years, I shall take on your trust and confidence as my moral compass in giving you quality leadership," she added.

Lacson announced the establishment of a “mega dialysis center” at the district hospital in Mabalacat in cooperation with Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda.

She said she will also work closely with First District Representative Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin to “best deliver” the projects and programs to the people.

Lacson thanked her fellow Magaleños for the support she got during the recent elections.

“The election is over. The Magaleños boldly expressed their stand, and with the overwhelming victory you have gifted us, it follows that I have a big responsibility to the people,” she said.(Chris Navarro)
