Over P3-M illegal drugs seized in separate stings

MORE than P3 million worth of suspected illegal drugs were seized during two separate anti-illegal drug operations launched in Pampanga over the weekend.

On Saturday evening, the buy-bust operation launched in Barangay San Matias, Guagua town resulted in the arrest of four suspects identified as Johaiver Samer, 18; Lance Jefferson, 20; Jelanour Darimbang, 18; and Roberyo Acerden, 56.

The sting yielded six medium and large-sized sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) weighing 240 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P1,632,000; four P500-bill marked money; and other personal belongings.

Meanwhile, another suspect identified as Alimar Ali was nabbed during an operation launched in Barangay Sta. Monica, San Simon town on Sunday evening.

Confiscated from his possession were five sachets of suspected shabu more or less 205 grams with estimated DDB value of P1,394,000; boodle money amounting to P9,500; and other personal belongings.

Appropriate charges for violations of Section 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 were prepared against the suspects for court referral.
