THE total number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Pampanga is now down to 985, as only 37 new cases were recorded Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 87,827 confirmed cases in the province, with 85,002 recoveries. Covid-19 deaths have reached 1,840.

Pampanga logged 320 Covid-19 cases in the last 14 days. Angeles City, meanwhile, reported 63 cases for the same period.

Fifteen people have succumbed to the disease in the last 14 days.

Majority of the 45 health facilities in the province are now experiencing a decrease in the number of bed occupancies. The rate of occupancy in the region is currently at 10.2 percent, the lowest yet since the Omicron variant surge. This means that only 1,158 of the total 1,289 hospital beds in Pampanga are currently available.

Forty-two health facilities in Pampanga are currently in the safe level with the ongoing decrease in the number of cases.
