Pampanga Covid-19 cases breach 4,000 mark

THE number of confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Pampanga has reached 4,262, according to a November 4 bulletin of the Provincial Government.

The number of patients who died of Covid-19 had also increased to 185.

On November 4 alone, 57 new cases were reported in the province.

On November 3, the Department of Health said that Pampanga topped the list of provinces in the country with the most number of cases, with 154.

Sixty-one cases came from the City of San Fernando alone.

The November 4 bulletin said that of the 4,262 cases, 750 are considered active cases, while 3,327 have already recovered.

Most of the confirmed and active cases are in Pampanga's three major cities.

Angeles City tops the list of most number of confirmed cases at 1,104 with 192 active, 853 recoveries and 58 deaths.

The City of San Fernando followed with 797 cases, 242 active, 530 recoveries and 25 deaths.

Mabalacat City has 537 confirmed cases, 76 active, 455 recoveries and six deaths.

Among the Pampanga towns, Guagua has the most number of confirmed cases at 286 with 35 active cases. Guagua also has the most number of recorded deaths at 17 cases.

Porac town currently has 187 confirmed cases, 33 active and 10 deaths.

Mexico town ranked third among municipalities with the most number of confirmed cases at 175, with at least 22 active cases and four deaths.

The number of active cases are mostly confined to Pampanga's (in order of number of cases) first, second and third districts, while Pampanga's fourth district has the least number of active cases in the past two weeks.
