CROP damage in Pampanga from the incessant southwest monsoon rains have reached a total of P268,365,663, according to latest reports from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA).

Eleven towns in the province have submitted reports on their respective crop damage.

Total crop damage on the palay sector has reached a total of P183,125,542 as of Tuesday, August 3.

Lubao town reported the greatest number of damage at P78,938,895, while San Luis town followed with P41,526,267 and Apalit with P34,418,807.

Candaba town also reported palay damage worth P 21,679,177, while Mexico town reported considerable damage to its palay production at P5,289,600.

Minalin and Magalang towns only reported minimal damage at P31,500 and P106,665, respectively.

Minalin town also reported damage in its high-value crops, currently at P100,000, while Magalang sustained losses on its corn crops worth P50,625.

Total worth of damage to the fisheries sector is currently at P85,089,496. Most of the losses were reported from Minalin with P35,895,950 worth of damage and P25,986,620 worth of damage in Masantol.

Macabebe also incurred losses worth P8,007,660, while the second district coastal town of Sasmuan reported P15,199,266 worth of damage to its fisheries sector.
