CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Public elementary schools in the Division of Pampanga received 10,000 pieces of big books printed through the efforts of 2nd District Board member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab.

The project is aimed to augment the reading materials of elementary school pupils.

Cayabyab responded to an earlier request of Education Program Supervisors of the Division of Pampanga for more big books to boast the number of reading materials for use in the reading programs of various public elementary schools.

The lady board member sponsored the publication of "Ekat: Ang Batang Matapat" which was prepared by the Division of Pampanga. The book was published in two languages (English and Pilipino) with 5,000 copies each.

The books were received by Schools Division Superintendent Romeo Alip and Assistant Schools Superintendent Melissa Sanchez.

The reading materials were distributed to all public elementary schools of the Division of Pampanga through the district supervisors of the province.

Cayabyab said the project aims to address the reading needs of local schools and the learning gaps in reading from the recent pandemic.
