KAPAMPANGANS continue to extend helping hands for victims of the Taal Volcano eruption as another batch of donation were given by San Simon town.

Mayor Abundio Punsalan Jr. said Tuesday, January 21, that a P100,000 check was donated by the local government to the Provincial Government of Batangas as aid to their ongoing relief operations.

"We are directing our cash donation to the Provincial Government of Batangas because they know better what their people really need," he said.

Aside from the check, Punsalan said the local government had initially sent P20,000 and 50 bags of relief goods through the local firemen who paid personal visits to evacuation centers in Batangas.

Punsalan credited Governor Dennis Pineda for his initiative and leadership in uniting Kapampangans to help fellow Filipinos in times of need.

"Governor Dennis Pineda stirred the bayanihan spirit of every Kapampangan when he personally went and assisted in the relief operations for the victims of Taal volcano eruption in Batangas and Simonians are one with that humanitarian mission," he said.
